Welcome

The Power of Silence

970 million people around the world struggle with some form of mental illness or drug abuse. According to statistics from the World Health Organization, or WHO, suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among the age group 15-29 years. I myself was diagnosed with bipolar depression at the age of 15.

I am now 45 years old, and still live with bipolar. I do not use western medication to control my mood swings instead I found the practice of yoga and created this blog to share what I have learned.

The Intellectual Yogi is dedicated to the study of yogic scriptures and aligning this wisdom with realtime life events.

While Yoga Sculpt is dedicated to offering the physical practices of asana (postures) and Sadhana (meditation and breathing) as an aid to your personal practice and self care.

I am still on my path of self study and continue to study the sciences of both Yoga and Ayurveda, through the lens of my own mental health in order to find liberation from my emotional bonds.
If this resonates with you I welcome you to join me.
