Nearly 970 million people around the world live with some form of mental illness or substance abuse. According to the World Health Organization, suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among individuals aged 15 to 29. I was diagnosed with bipolar depression at the age of 15—and now, at 45, I continue to live with it.
I don’t use Western medication to manage my mood swings. Instead, I found stability, insight, and strength through the practice of yoga. This blog was born from that journey.
The Intellectual Yogi is dedicated to the study of yogic philosophy—particularly the Sāṃkhya system—and how its ancient wisdom applies to real-time, modern life.
Yoga Sculpt offers physical practices: āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breathwork), and sādhanā (meditation)—tools to support your self-care and spiritual inquiry.
I am still learning. Still studying. Still walking the path of yoga and Ayurveda—through the lens of my own mental health—in pursuit of liberation from emotional suffering.
If any part of this resonates with you, I welcome you to walk alongside me.
